Picture Day

When & Where is Picture Day?

⭐️Picture Day is: Saturday, May 2, 2025

⭐️Schedule: Click here for class time and schedule.

⭐️Dancers must arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled time to allow ample time to check.

⭐️Dancers will take both group and individual photos. Be on time, we cannot wait for late arrivals.

⭐️Pictures will takes 20-30 mins

⭐️Picture Day is at the studio: DC Dance Center, 1555 Washington Ave, San Leandro

What do I need to bring for Picture Day?

⭐️Dancers should 10 mins early dressed in their costume and ready to go.

⭐️Dressed in costume and full hair and makeup. See costume bag for class specific details.

⭐️Dancers that have multiple costume changes will use the middle studio to change.

⭐️Dancers do not need to bring extra personal items (jackets, water bottles, etc)

⭐️We highly suggest pre-ordering your picture package to save time and money. Pre-ordering pictures will be discounted.

Who can/should attend Picture Day?

⭐️Parents will not be allowed inside the studio.

⭐️Dancers will be met at the front entrance by an DC staff member.

⭐️We kindly ask that you wait outside in front of the studio, dancers will be walked to the front entrance when they are done.

⭐️No extra family members or guests will be allowed.

Cherry Festival

When & Where is the Cherry Festival?

⭐️Cherry Festival is Saturday, June 6, 2026

Times:

⭐️Parade Arrival: 9:00 - 9:30AM

⭐️Parade Start: 10:00am

⭐️Staging for the parade will be at San Leandro BART Station South Parking Lot across from Parrot Street. The parade will head down Parrot St. towards E.14th and head toward the Main San Leandro Library where the parade will end. We will need parent volunteers to walk with us.

Dancers 6 & under will need a parent chaperson to walk with them at all times.

Lots of street parking will be blocked and very limited street parking available, please plan accordingly.

⭐️The performance with be at St. Leander's School, South East Corner parking lot of Carpentier St. and W.Joaquin Ave. The stage is near the kindergarten rooms which will serve as a our dressing room area.

What do I need to bring for the Cherry Festival?

Parade:

⭐️Dancers will wear purple recital t-shirt, denim shorts and sneakers.

⭐️Supporters and parents marching with us, should wear your DC swag!

Performance:

⭐️Meet near the stage by the classroom in St. Leanders Parking Lot

⭐️Dancers should arrive dressed and ready to go.

⭐️Dressed in costume and full hair and makeup.

⭐️Dancers can bring a water bottle. No extra personal items are needed.

Who can/should attend the Cherry Festival?

⭐️Admission is free and all dancers and their families are encouraged to stay and enjoy the festival after the show. There will vendors, other entertainers, and enjoy lunch in beautiful Downtown San Leandro!

Dress Rehearsal

When & When is Dress Rehearsal?

⭐️Dress Rehearsal Day is in the morning of Saturday, June 13, 2026

⭐️Times TBA

⭐️Dancers must arrive to the theater 10 minutes before their scheduled time.

⭐️Dress Rehearsal is at San Leandro Performing Arts Center, 2250 Bancroft Ave, San Leandro

What do I need to bring for Dress Rehearsal?

⭐️Dancers should arrive is costume dressed and ready to go.

⭐️Dressed in their costume only with all necessary shoes, tights, accessories and props.

⭐️Dancers can bring a water bottle.

⭐️No need for full hair and make up for dress rehearsal.

⭐️No food or snacks.

Who can/should attend Dress Rehearsal?

⭐️Preschool Dance Classes WILL NOT participate in Dress Rehearsal.

⭐️This is a closed rehearsal.

⭐️Dancers and backstage parents only.

⭐️No extra parents, siblings or other visitors will be allowed.

Recital

When & Where is Recital?

⭐️Recital is Saturday, June 13, 2026

⭐️Doors open 1:30PM

⭐️Show time is 2p

ALL Dancers and Backstage Parents must arrive to the theater at 1PM

⭐️Recital is at San Leandro Performing Arts Center, 2250 Bancroft Ave, San Leandro

What do I need to bring to Recital?

⭐️Dancers should arrive dressed in costume and ready to go.

⭐️Dressed in full hair and makeup.

⭐️Bring all necessary costumes, accessories, shoes, tights and props.

⭐️Bring Recital t-shirt, black shorts/bottoms. After dancers perform their dance, they will change into recital t-shirt and black bottoms for the show finale.

⭐️Dancers can bring a water bottle and a light snack. Do not send snacks or drinks that may stain costumes (Cheetos, Hawaiian Punch, etc)

Who can/should attend Recital?

⭐️Friends and family with tickets are all welcomed to the show.

⭐️Only assigned Backstage Support and Performers will be permitted backstage.

How do I reserve tickets for Recital?

⭐️Each family will recieve 3 tickets to the show. Additional tickets will be available for purchase at the front desk

Where do I make my contribution to the Teacher Flowers?

⭐️It’s a lovely tradition for dancers to gift their teachers flowers at the end of the show.

If you’d like to contribute, please drop off your cash donation at the front desk as soon as possible—we appreciate your support in making this special for our teachers!

Will there be any concessions available for purchase at Recital?

We will be selling a variety of bouquet flowers, dancing ballet bears, and leis as gifts for your dancers.

Flowers and bears are a great gift to your dancer for all their hard work.

Alameda County Fair

When & Where is Alameda County Fair Performance?

The County Fair Saturday, June 20, 2026

Arrival Time: 3:30 PM

Show Time: 4:00 PM

What do I need to bring to the Fair Performance?

⭐️Dancers should arrive dressed and ready to go.

⭐️Dressed in full hair and makeup.

⭐️Bring all necessary costumes, accessories, shoes, tights and props.

⭐️Dancers can bring a water bottle. No extra personal items are needed.

⭐️Recital shirt after the performance.

Who can/should attend the Fair Performance?

⭐️Each dancer will receive one fair entrance pass (dancer-only).

⭐️Additional tickets for family and guests can be purchased at the gate or online through the Alameda County Fair website.
